Meg was the recipient of the
MAX The Salon &
CD101 makeover! Check out the beautiful before and after…and see how our talented team at MAX Short North accomplished these looks for Meg.
HAIR:
Frankie, Stylist, MAX The Salon, Short North
When Meg walked in the salon, I knew right off the bat that we were going to have lots of fun! She has a great spunky personality and I wanted to give her a fun, trendy look to match! With fall right around the corner, I wanted to give her a cut that would frame her face and a color that would warm her up for the season. I did a heavy lowlight (in warm copper) and a highlight, as well. The copper, although darker than her traditional blonde, really brought out her eye color and was gorgeous with her skin tone! For the cut, we brought her length up to shoulder-length and added some soft dimension and a light swoop bang.
MAKEUP:
Jade, Licensed Esthetician & Skin Creative Team Member, MAX The Salon, Short North
To create a flawless face, I used Dinair airbrush makeup to smooth away Meg’s fine lines and provide an even skin tone. I used different shades of foundation to highlight and contour Meg’s skin and added a soft, peachy-pink shade to give a beautiful, natural flush to the cheeks.
Meg has amazing blue eyes which I emphasized using tones of bronze and gold. Matte taupe shadow was applied to the lids and worked into the crease. The
same color was lightly washed along the bottom lash line. Deep chocolate
bronze was used to define the crease and outer corner of the eye, and the inner corner of her eyes were highlighted with a light golden shimmer. Meg's eyes
were then lightly lined with black liner and two coats of mascara were used
to create full, glamorous lashes. Youngblood lipstick in Brown Sugar gave us the perfect finish to tie this gorgeous look together.
NAILS:
Lisa, Licensed Nail Professional, The Grand Salon in Gahanna/New Albany & MAX The Salon, Short North
After talking with Meg to discuss what she had in mind for nails, I suggested going with a very natural look. Together, we selected “Passions” by OPI for the fingernail polish. She choose "I'm Susie and I'm a Chocoholic" from the 2010 fall OPI Swiss collection for her toes. For added relaxation, Meg decided to go for a Sugar Buff Mani & Pedi in papaya. Meg as pleased by the natural look and seemed very satisfied with the results.
The combination of hair, makeup and nails, Meg felt and looked classy, sophisticated and 10 years younger – which was perfect as her 10-year high school reunion was that weekend.
“I wanted to let you know that Frankie, Jade and Lisa did a fantastic job with my makeover on Friday” said Meg. I'm very happy with my new look. The airbrush makeup was great - I highly recommend that to everyone for their special events. I'm figuring out how to style my new easy hair do. The color is fabulous. And my manicure is still looking great after 3 days (which is never the case with me!) Thank you so much everything. My reunion was fun and the compliments were flying....thanks to MAX The Salon and CD101!!"
Was it fate for Meg to be our lucky contest winner? Perhaps! But, there’s no need to wait until your reunion to look this fabulous. Schedule a consultation…or even an appointment with a MAX The Salon professional and feel fabulous, today!
